Sunday around 5:10 a.m. at Westin Hotel the driver of a Suzuki Swift missed the bend in the road and drove straight up a kwihi tree. Two other young women were in the car.
The trio was stuck in the car, the impact had thrown one of them from the front to the back seat. Police called for assistance from three ambulances and the fire department's crash truck. Red Cross personnel also assisted in offering first aid while waiting for paramedics to arrive. The women had experienced different fractures and the injured who had been thrown to the backseat was in a more serious condition.
