Monday around 2:15 a.m. Police in the C-6 district (South Boston) attended to a call for a man found in a puddle of blood in the area of 335 W. 2nd Street.
Police found the man on the sidewalk, badly wounded. Paramedics transported him to Tufts Medical Center, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Boston police identified the victim as Jonathan Reyes (18). In a telephone conversation with Boston detectives, they could not give much detail as the case is under investigation, our sister website 24ora.com reports. Detectives would only confirm the name, last name and age of the victim and described him as being "Black Hispanic" and said that he had been murdered. Local media, including Boston Herald, Boston.com and Fox News 25 reported the murder; there was much speculation on what could have happened, but no confirmation of these statements.

In 2007 Reyes, popularly called "Johnny Boy" went to EPB San Nicolas, but after getting involved in gang related trouble, his parents sent him to The Netherlands, hoping the move off-island would give him a chance on a better future. Reyes once again got in trouble with justice and recently he decided to move from The Netherlands to Boston. His friends from "Pos Chikito for Live" (P4L) posted messages on his Facebook page mentioning him having ambitions for a career in rap music.
