Police stopped a car for a routine check behind Pacifico restaurant in Paradera and noticed a bloody baseball bat in the car and that one of the men had a bleeding cut on his hand. Police detained the chauffeur immediately and while the passenger got away, the driver told police they had robbed a Chinese establishment in Alto Vista.
A widespread search took place for the other man through Paradera and neighborhoods extending through Seroe Janchi. Police from all the different units as well as the helicopter participated at the search. Officers arrested a suspect in the Calbas countryside; they found a revolver as well as drugs in the grass. The search continued for another man, who was arrested in Gavilan. A total of four people were detained and different items they had dumped along the way during the chase were confiscated.
