Minister of Tourism announces 4.1% growth in stay-over tourism

Monday morning Minister of Tourism Otmar Oduber announced in a press conference that Aruba has done well in 2012, resulting in a 4.1% growth in stay-over tourism.

He said that the Central Bank of Aruba has also indicated a significant growth in spending by tourists over the first three quarters of 2012.
In addition, a forecast by the Central Bank shows 5% growth of the economy over 2013, the minister shared. He added that he expects a good 2013, where Aruba Tourism Authority together with Aruba Airport Authority will take Aruba to a different level as a competitor in the Caribbean region.
