Yesterday (April 10, 2013), the Members of CHATA elected their new Board of Directors. This took place at Hilton Curacao during the Annual General Meeting. The general meeting is the main membership meeting held every year where the members are updated on the challenges, forecast and financials of the organization and industry.
The new board consists of the following CHATA members:

During the meeting CHATA’s President & CEO, Lizanne Dindial continuously mentioned the importance of Partnership and alignment between the public and private sector. CHATA declared the year 2013 to be the year of partnerships, where CHATA will be involved in constant follow ups and dialogs with Airlines, Hotels, and Tour operators. According to Lizanne Dindial, it is important for us to increase all load factors of all the flights servicing Curacao. The main issue will be and always has been Airlift, and we truly believe that if we fill up the existing portfolio of flights servicing Curacao, it will automatically increase our OCC% of our hotels and therefore stimulate growth.
CHATA would like to thank Raymond Brummelhuis, from the Morena Resort for his 2 years of support and dedication as part of the CHATA board.
CHATA is convinced that this new board of directors will continue with the mission and vision of CHATA and to continue building strong partnerships between the public and private sector.
