Expedia reports increased travel demand for Aruba in the first quarter of 2013 |

The Expedia group, the world's largest online travel company, reported today that travel demand for Aruba grew by 15 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2013. The Expedia group features more than 140 websites in nearly 70 countries worldwide, from brands such as Expedia®, Hotels.com®, Hotwire®, Egencia®, Expedia Affiliate Network® and Venere®.

Heading into the ADRL Spring Drags, Team Aruba was looking to wrap up some unfinished business, and that’s exactly what they did. From start to finish, Trevor Eman and the gang from Aruba dominated Extreme Pro Stock the entire weekend. In their first qualifying pass, they laid down the number which would remain on top for the weekend, a 4.099 at 175.98 MPH.

When Mother Nature ended the ADRL Georgia Drags after qualifying, Extreme Pro Stock number one qualifier, Trevor Eman and Team Aruba, were disappointed to not defend their position in eliminations. At this weekend’s ADRL Spring Drags they’ve given themselves another chance, once again taking over the top spot in XPS.

At the last stop on the ADRL tour Team Aruba was having one of the best outings of their career. They secured the number one qualifying spot early and hung onto it for the duration. Unfortunately, Mother Nature moved in in the form of rain and stopped Team Aruba from defending their position in eliminations.

Last week during a meeting at Caribbean Mercantile Bank, members of the board of the BOB Foundation (breast cancer community testing foundation) received a donation of US$ 275,000 from the bank’s former CEO and director Lio Capriles.
